Kileo Tours

Kileo Tours is a Tanzanian tour company I co-founded that organizes safaris and treks up Mount Kilimanjaro. I started the company with my mountain guide from Mount Kilimanjaro, after I realized my web capabilities could help him realize his dream. What started off as an offer to build him a free website eventually turned into a 3.5 year remote partnership that thrived.

Today, Kileo Tours is one of Tanzania's leading tour companies. We've built a reputation of being Tanzania's friendliest tour company and serve over 100 clients each year. Learn more at www. KileoTours.org.

Waterloop

Waterloop is Canada’s most successful team competing in SpaceX’s hyperloop competition. I Co-Led the 60-person team in the winter of 2017, focusing on Sponsorship, Finance, Marketing, Logistics, and Safety.

During my time at Waterloop, I was able to raise $40k, create a viral marketing campaign, set up a testing facility, and orchestrate a launch day attended by Discovery Channel, CBC, and CTV. This experience taught me so much about leadership.

UW Hiking Club

I started the UW Hiking Club in September 2017 in an effort to build a community of hikers. Over the course of a year, I personally led 12 hike, attracting an average of 35 hikers each and lasting 3 hours. The club became enormously popular, and today has 1250 registered members.

Leading the UW Hiking Club has taught me a lot about leadership, logistics, marketing, and community. It has also taught me how to maximize turnout and create a social atmosphere.
